Success takes many forms, but there is something especially inspiring about seeing young students take their abilities beyond the classroom and compete on an international stage.
Three students from Peninsula Private School (PPS) have achieved outstanding results at the JOEY The Young Kangaroo International English Competition – Grand Finals 2026, held in Istanbul, Türkiye, from 1 to 5 September 2026.
Representing PPS, Sarvinash (Grade 3) emerged as a Gold Medalist, while Kavinassh (Grade 3) and Udesh (Grade 5) each secured Silver Medals.
Competing at the Grand Finals meant going up against participants from around the world, making their achievements a proud milestone in their learning journey.
For Sarvinash, Kavinassh and Udesh, the competition provided more than an opportunity to demonstrate their English abilities. It gave them the experience of challenging themselves, meeting participants from different backgrounds and representing their school on an international platform.
Their achievements also reflect the importance of encouraging students to explore opportunities beyond the classroom. Competitions can help young learners build confidence, develop discipline and discover what they are capable of when they challenge themselves.
