Ms Tan describes herself as a passionate leader who is guided by integrity. Her stated aim is to guide students onto a path that will allow them to fulfil their maximum potential through values and life skills inculcation. Ms Tan has over two decade’s experience as an academic and administrator, in both private and public education institutions. She believes the way to nurture quality students into dynamic community leaders is by providing a strong education support platform for them to flourish and excel. Lee Mei Ling (Ivy)

Head of Secondary School

Ms Ivy has over two decades of teaching experience and believes teachers are a child’s second biggest influence apart from their parents. Consequently, she is constantly motivated to broaden students’ perspectives through the prism of science. She is always striving to show real-life applications of the topics covered in class and believes logical thinking will help students master the subject. Ms Ivy is keen to stress the importance of having a positive attitude as teachers should lead by example.

Shanthini Davindren

Head of Primary School

Shanthini A/P Davindren holds a Master of English Language Studies from the University of Malaya. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2023 and teaches English, bringing twelve years of teaching experience across kindergarten, primary, secondary, and university levels.

Her academic background includes Literature, World English, Linguistics, Structured Performing Arts, South East Asian Literature, as well as American and European Literature. She began her career at a private school as Head of Structured Performing Arts and has continued to grow as an educator through professional development in middle leadership, positive learning environments, professional learning communities, and project-based learning. She also serves as the Primary School Coordinator.

Shanthini is passionate about creating meaningful learning moments, especially when students begin to understand new concepts and connect lessons to real life. She finds great fulfilment in helping students overcome challenges, build confidence, and discover their strengths.

She believes that the classroom is a living community where school leaders, teachers, students, and parents all play a role in shaping a positive learning environment. With an open, caring, and reflective approach, Shanthini aims to honour each student’s individuality while encouraging them to see learning as a lifelong journey.

Stephanie Cross Vijaya Kumar

Student Affairs Coordinator (Secondary)

Stephanie Cross holds a Diploma in Physiotherapy, a Bachelor of Education (TESOL), and a Master in Education. She joined the school in 2022 as part of the Pioneer Group and currently teaches English for Secondary 1, 2, and 5, as well as Geography for Secondary 1 and 2. She is also the Secondary Student Affairs Coordinator. She has 14 years of teaching experience in both private and international school settings, during which she has served in various leadership roles, including Level Coordinator, Head of English Department, Chief Editor, and Student Affairs Coordinator.

She is deeply motivated by the sense of impact and purpose that teaching provides. The opportunity to contribute to students’ development in skills, thinking, and future aspirations gives meaningful direction to her work as an educator. As a Geography teacher, she helps students understand the world around them through topics such as the environment, weather, natural disasters, and human activities, while also fostering awareness of global issues like climate change and sustainability. As an English teacher, she focuses on developing students’ communication skills in speaking, reading, writing, and listening, enabling them to express ideas, opinions, and creativity with confidence.

Her educational philosophy is centred on developing holistic learners through a balanced focus on knowledge, critical thinking, values, and lifelong learning. She believes this approach equips students with the skills and mindset needed to become responsible individuals who can contribute meaningfully to society.

MELVIN TEH GUAN THIAM

Student Affairs Coordinator (Primary)

Melvin Teh holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Public Relations from the University of the West of England, Bristol, and a Bachelor of Mass Communication with Honours in Event Management and Public Relations from Taylor’s University. He joined Peninsula Private School in 2026 and teaches Science and Digital Literacy for Primary 3 to Primary 6, as well as Design and Technology for Primary 4 and Primary 5.

With over a decade of teaching experience, primarily in international schools in Malaysia, Melvin has mainly served as a primary-level homeroom teacher, supporting students in both academic learning and personal development. He has also held several leadership roles, including Key Stage 2 Coordinator, Head of the Creative Arts Department, and Head of Student Development for Key Stages 1 and 2, where he focused on teaching quality, creativity, student growth, and wellbeing.

Melvin enjoys the dynamic nature of teaching, as every student brings different strengths, needs, and ways of learning. In Science, he encourages students to ask questions, make predictions, and learn through investigation. In Digital Literacy, he guides students to become confident and responsible digital creators. He believes teachers should act as facilitators, helping students develop curiosity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and the confidence to become independent learners.

Suhaila Awang

Subject: Bahasa Melayu

Ms Suhaila has over a decade’s experience teaching Bahasa Melayu in private schools and her enthusiasm remains undimmed as each new batch of students bring fresh personalities. She values student interaction and says the greatest reward for a teacher is to see students develop a thirst for knowledge. Her teaching methodology greatly involves use of computers in delivering Bahasa Melayu lessons to secondary students as she believes that today’s youth respond better to digital stimuli.

Junaid Asshomaddin Abdullah

Physical Education and CCA Coordinator

Junaid Asshomaddin Bin Abdullah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Sports Science from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. He joined Peninsula Private School in 2023 and teaches Physical Education, Pendidikan Islam, Sejarah, and Reka Bentuk Teknologi.

With six years of teaching experience, Junaid began his teaching journey at a private school in Klang in 2020. He currently serves as the CCA and Sports Coordinator, supporting students through both academic and co-curricular activities.

Junaid finds meaning in guiding students both in and beyond the classroom. Whether helping them understand a lesson or encouraging them to push themselves in sports, he values being part of their growth, discipline, and personal development. As a Physical Education teacher, he connects well with students of different abilities and motivates them to stay active.

He believes education should help students build confidence, resilience, and the willingness to improve. Through a supportive and inclusive approach, he aims to help every student discover their potential academically, physically, and personally.

Siti Hajar binti Mohd Amir holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration Management and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration Management from Universiti Utara Malaysia. She joined Peninsula Private School in February 2023 and teaches Bahasa Melayu for Tahap 1 and 2, Pendidikan Agama Islam for Tahap 1, and Sejarah for Tahap 2.

With eight years of teaching experience in private primary and secondary schools, Siti Hajar has taught students across different learning abilities and levels. Her experience includes preparing bilingual reference materials, guiding new teachers in lesson planning and teaching strategies, and serving as a facilitator for Minggu Bahasa programmes. As a language teacher, she is skilled in creating structured, clear, and engaging lessons that help students build confidence in writing and speaking.

Siti Hajar finds great fulfilment in seeing students grow from being unsure of themselves to becoming more willing to try, participate, and produce quality work. She believes education is not only about sharing knowledge, but also about building confidence, values, and life skills. Through an inclusive, enjoyable, and well-structured classroom, she hopes to guide students as they discover their strengths and shape their own future.

Noorhafizah Zainudin

Assessment Coordinator (Secondary)

Noorhafizah Binti Zainuddin holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design and a Master in Design Technology. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2023 and teaches Sejarah for SPM students and Pendidikan Seni Visual at the secondary level.

With nine years of teaching experience in the national syllabus, Noorhafizah has taught secondary school students and held various leadership responsibilities, including Head of Humanities Department in her previous school. She currently serves as the Secondary School Assessment Coordinator and Secondary 4 Class Teacher.

Noorhafizah is passionate about creating a positive and engaging classroom where students feel motivated to learn. She enjoys sharing knowledge, exchanging ideas with fellow educators, and continuously improving her teaching methods. She believes that lessons should be simple, meaningful, and enjoyable, helping students feel inspired to grow through the learning process.

Assessment Coordinator (Primary)

Noor Hanini Binti Hashim holds a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Chemical and Bioprocess Engineering from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Shah Alam. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2023 and teaches Mathematics to Primary 3 to Primary 6 students, as well as Science to Primary 1 and Primary 2 students.

She began her teaching career in 2018 and has experience in private primary and secondary school settings. In her previous school, she served as Head of Assessment Unit, and she currently holds the role of Primary Assessment Coordinator and Classroom Teacher at PPS. As a Mathematics teacher, Noor Hanini focuses on helping students understand the reasoning behind concepts instead of simply memorising formulas. In Science, she encourages students to connect classroom learning with everyday life, nurturing curiosity through observation and simple exploration.

Noor Hanini finds teaching most meaningful when students gain confidence because they feel supported and believed in. She believes every child has unique potential and may take different paths towards the same goal. In her classroom, character and attitude are valued as important foundations for lifelong learning, while lessons are adapted to help each student grow at their own pace.

Serene Chim Pei Ling

Serene Chim Pei Ling, a proud graduate with Honours in Finance and Investment from Tunku Abdul Rahman University College, brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to the classroom. Over the past five years, she has taught students of all ages in English, Mathematics, and Science, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the National Curriculum along the way. Her teaching philosophy revolves around the belief that every student possesses unique talents waiting to be unlocked. With this in mind, she is committed to crafting engaging lessons that ignite curiosity and foster a love for learning. Serene prioritizes building strong, trusting relationships with her students, empowering them to take ownership of their educational journey. For her, teaching is more than just imparting information; it’s about inspiring a lifelong passion for learning and excellence in each student she encounters.

Chern Zhao Fei

Chern Zhao Fei holds a Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) (Hons) from UMP and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Computer Science) from UM. He joined PPS in 2024 and teaches Mathematics, Additional Mathematics and Digital Literacy & Computing at the Secondary Level. He has accumulated more than 5 years of teaching experience in both public and private education institutions. He helps students develop problem-solving skills and apply technical knowledge in practical contexts. He adopts a student-centred teaching philosophy that integrates logical thinking and creativity, with a focus on practical application and preparing students for the evolving digital landscape. He was awarded a medal at the CITREx programme and is recognised as a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE).

Fatin Nor Shafika Binti Abdul Ali

ECA Coordinator

Fatin Nor Shafika Binti Abdul Ali holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Puncak Alam, and is currently pursuing a Master in Education Leadership at the same university. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2024 and teaches Bahasa Melayu at the secondary level, Perniagaan for SPM students, and Pendidikan Jasmani.

Fatin has five years of tutoring experience, including two years teaching Bahasa Melayu to secondary students and three years teaching Perniagaan, Economics, and Science. She is passionate about seeing students grow in confidence, improve their marks, and develop the ability to answer questions independently.

Fatin believes that learning should be meaningful, practical, and engaging. In her classroom, she encourages students to think critically, participate actively, and connect lessons to real-life situations. Whether teaching language, business, or physical education, she aims to create a supportive environment where students can build confidence, strengthen their skills, and develop positive values for lifelong learning.

Priscilla Goh Miin-Huey

Chinese Language Coordinator

Priscilla Goh Miin-Huey holds a Bachelor of Mass Communication (Hons) in Broadcasting from Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2024 and brings eight years of teaching experience across homeschool centres and private school settings.

She currently serves as the Mandarin Subject Coordinator and teaches Mandarin Chinese to students from Primary 1 to Secondary 3. In her role, she focuses on managing the curriculum to support a smooth and steady academic progression as students move through each level.

Priscilla is passionate about helping students see Mandarin as a practical and living language. With an organised and pragmatic teaching approach, balanced by a caring and attentive style, she strives to understand each student’s learning needs. She believes in creating a patient and supportive environment where students can build confidence, improve communication, and develop a deeper appreciation of language and culture.

Kim Geun-hwa

Subject: Korean Language

Meet Ms Kim Geun-hwa, our Korean Language Teacher at Peninsula Private School. Ms Kim’s background includes roles as a secondary art teacher in South Korea and a specialised social worker providing guidance to autistic and intellectually disabled children. Additionally, she has experience in operating the Elderly Dementia Correction Programme. Ms Kim finds joy in guiding students on their educational journeys, where her expertise lies in fostering efficient learning through a range of strategies and a positive mindset. Further, her educational approach revolves around instilling self-belief and resilience in children through positive experiences, ensuring they are well-prepared for adulthood.

Adrea Tan Huan Seen

School Counsellor

Adrea Tan Huan Seen is a licensed and registered counsellor who holds a Master in Counselling from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Bachelor of Psychology from HELP University. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2023 and has been practising as a licensed counsellor since 2020.

With experience supporting both primary and secondary school students, Adrea works closely with teachers and parents to help students manage challenges such as anxiety, stress, family concerns, trauma, and emotional difficulties. Her counselling approach focuses on understanding each student beyond the surface, while adapting her support according to their individual needs.

Adrea believes that school counselling is not only about solving problems, but also about helping students better understand themselves. She is passionate about creating a safe space where students feel heard, supported, and accepted. Her goal is to help students build self-awareness, resilience, confidence, and emotional strength that they can carry with them beyond school.

DEBORAH NGOR

Primary Music Teacher

Ms Deborah Ngor holds a Bachelor of Classical Music (Hons) from UCSI University and joined Peninsula Private School in 2025. With over eight years of experience in music education, she has taught in private studios, music centres, and both private and international school settings. Her teaching journey has included piano, violin, and vocal instruction, each enriching her passion for nurturing young musicians.

Ms Deborah finds immense joy in teaching primary school music, inspired by the energy and curiosity that young learners bring to the classroom. She believes in creating a vibrant, playful, and supportive environment where students can explore music with confidence and joy. Her strength lies in her ability to connect with each child, guiding them in developing musical technique while encouraging creative expression.

She believes that every child is a unique creation of God, deserving of love, respect, and the opportunity to grow in their gifts. Her teaching philosophy is rooted in cultivating a love for learning and music, while nurturing both skill and character in a faith-filled environment.

CHIA CHUE HON

Accounting Teacher

Ms Chia Chue Hon holds a Bachelor of Technology with Education in Living Skills and completed his teacher training in 1980–1981. He joined Peninsula Private School in 2025, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in the education sector. He previously taught Mathematics to Form 3 students for 32 years and Integrated Living Skills for 16 years in government-aided schools, where he also served as Head of Department. Since 2013, he has taught Accounting to Form 4 and Form 5 students at a private tuition centre.

Ms Chia finds teaching most fulfilling when students begin to understand how to learn independently and when they come to appreciate the importance of accounting in the real world. Seeing their satisfaction and progress continues to inspire his commitment to education.
He believes that education begins with love—love for oneself, love for the subject, and, above all, love for the students.

SERENE LIM MEI SIM

Biology Teacher (Form 4)

Ms Serene Lim holds a Master of Science (Medical Biotechnology) and a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology), both from the University of Malaya. She is a certified Mandarin language educator, TBAN breastfeeding counsellor, and a member of the International Grafinity Association (IGA). She joined Peninsula Private School in 2025 with over 15 years of experience in science education and curriculum development.

She has taught IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Mandarin at various levels, and has also authored science workbooks for secondary learners. Her background includes running her own tuition and public speaking centres, serving as Chief Academic Officer at Parent First, and contributing as a parenting consultant at Neucleus DNA.

Ms Serene is passionate about transforming science into an engaging, relatable subject. She simplifies complex theories and encourages curiosity, discussion, and self-belief. Her teaching philosophy centres on nurturing each student’s unique potential and helping them find joy and confidence in learning.

Sherenne Ann Thomas George holds a First Class Honours Master of Educational Management from the University of Malaya and a First Class Honours Bachelor of Education (Hons), majoring in Language and Literature, from UNITAR International University. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2025 and teaches English for Year 4, Year 5 and Year 6, Digital Literacy for Year 1 and Year 2, and Pendidikan Moral for Year 3.

Sherenne brings diverse teaching experience across tertiary, secondary and primary education. She has served as a lecturer at Management and Science University, teaching Foundation, Diploma, Degree and blended learning programmes. She was also a coordinator and homeroom teacher at Collinz International School, where she taught English, History and Geography, and later served as a Junior 1 Homeroom Teacher at Beaconhouse Sri Lethia, teaching English and ICT. She also led the Data and Analysis Team, where she analysed academic results and implemented strategies to support student performance.

As an English teacher, Sherenne is passionate about building strong connections with students and helping them express themselves confidently through writing, speaking and discussion. She believes in creating a supportive and engaging classroom where students feel valued, challenged and motivated to learn. Her education philosophy is centred on active learning, critical thinking and holistic development, with the aim of inspiring curiosity, responsibility and a lifelong love of learning.

JESSVEENA KAUR

English Language Coordinator

Ms Jessveena Kaur holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Education in TESL from SEGi University Kota Damansara and joined Peninsula Private School in 2025. Since beginning her teaching career in 2017, she has taught English as both a First and Second Language to students from Year 6 to Year 9, with experience in preparing learners for the Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE exams.

Her strength lies in managing both physical and virtual classrooms with confidence, while fostering an inclusive, engaging environment. A passionate and results-driven educator, she believes in empowering students to think critically and communicate effectively.

Ms Jessveena views teaching as both a calling and a lifelong journey of learning. Her philosophy centres on building strong relationships, promoting all-round development, and helping every student reach their full potential—regardless of academic ability.

MOHAMAD TAJUDDIN BIN SABRI

Science, Chemistry & Moral Education Teacher

Mr Mohamad Tajuddin holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Bioprocess Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia and is currently completing his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia. He joined Peninsula Private School in 2025 and brings with him three years of teaching and tutoring experience in Science, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

He teaches a variety of subjects across both primary and secondary levels. His academic background provides a solid foundation for simplifying complex concepts and delivering engaging, inquiry-based lessons. He uses real-life analogies and hands-on activities to make science meaningful and accessible.

Mr Tajuddin is passionate about nurturing curiosity and critical thinking. He believes in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel confident to ask questions and grow beyond academics—developing into resilient, well-rounded individuals ready to contribute meaningfully to society.

HASNI BINTI HALIM

Bahasa Melayu Coordinator (Secondary)

Hasni binti Halim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Malay Language and Linguistics from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching from Open University Malaysia. She joined Peninsula Private School in February 2025 and teaches Bahasa Melayu at both primary and secondary levels.

With 18 years of teaching experience in both public and private schools, Hasni has held key responsibilities including Discipline Teacher and Head of Department for Bahasa Melayu. She is experienced in delivering lessons clearly and patiently, using suitable approaches to help students understand concepts more effectively. She also enjoys creating engaging classroom activities that encourage students to participate actively and develop a greater interest in the subject.

Hasni is passionate about seeing students grow from struggling with a concept to truly understanding it. She believes education is not only about academic achievement, but also about shaping character, instilling good values, and building students’ self-confidence. Her goal is to support every student in learning and developing according to their individual potential.

NASYITAH RAJU MOHAMMAD

Ms Nasyitah Raju holds a Bachelor in Education Science from Management and Science University (MSU) and a TESOL/TEFL certification from the World TESOL Academy. She joined Peninsula Private School in March 2025, with 3 to 4 years of teaching experience in both government and international school settings.

She has taught a range of subjects including Science, Biology, Chemistry, English, and the Arts across both primary and secondary levels. She is also a volunteer with the Paper Airplanes English Program, where she teaches students from diverse backgrounds through online platforms.

Ms Nasyitah believes in sparking curiosity and nurturing creativity through hands-on learning and real-world connections. Her approach integrates 21st-century skills and values-based education, aiming to develop thoughtful, resilient, and well-rounded learners. Siti Marissa Binti Hussin holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and a Master’s in Education in Management and Leadership. With teaching experience since 2011, she brings over a decade of dedication and consistency to her role as a Bahasa Melayu and Pendidikan Islam educator.

Throughout her career, she has been committed to creating a supportive and well-structured learning environment where students feel guided and encouraged. She integrates strong subject knowledge with values-based education, helping students develop language proficiency alongside discipline, confidence, and positive character.

Known for her clear delivery and effective classroom management, Siti Marissa adapts her teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. She believes education is a purposeful process that shapes both knowledge and character. For her, the most rewarding moments come when students move from uncertainty to clarity, growing steadily in understanding and self-assurance.

Sothesan Pubalan

Teacher

Mr Sothesan Pubalan holds a Bachelor of Computer Science in Data Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching from Open University Malaysia. He brings experience teaching in both private and international school environments, working with upper primary and secondary students.

He teaches Mathematics, Digital Literacy and Computing, as well as Sejarah, drawing on his strong academic foundation and formal teacher training to deliver structured and purposeful lessons. Siti Sarah Binti Abdul Rahman holds a Master of Science in Conservation Biology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She teaches Biology for Secondary 4, Science for Secondary 1, 2 and 4, as well as Geography for Secondary 1 and 3, bringing both scientific depth and interdisciplinary perspective to her classroom.

She has three years of direct classroom experience teaching secondary level Science and Biology, complemented by over seven years of broader experience in curriculum development, STEM programme design, and teacher training. Her professional background includes working closely with educators, students, and stakeholders across schools and training institutions, strengthening her ability to connect learning with real-world applications.

Sashita holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and brings 15 years of experience in education. She teaches English, Science, and Mathematics at the primary level, creating a classroom environment that is both structured and nurturing.

Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher and level coordinator, strengthening her expertise in curriculum planning and holistic child development. She designs creative and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, incorporating hands-on activities and real-world connections to ensure learning remains meaningful and accessible.

Inspired by the curiosity and enthusiasm her students bring each day, Sashita finds joy in watching them grow in confidence and recognise their own potential.
