Lee Mei Ling (Ivy)

Head of Secondary School

Ms Ivy has over two decades of teaching experience and believes teachers are a child’s second biggest influence apart from their parents. Consequently, she is constantly motivated to broaden students’ perspectives through the prism of science. She is always striving to show real-life applications of the topics covered in class and believes logical thinking will help students master the subject. Ms Ivy is keen to stress the importance of having a positive attitude as teachers should lead by example.

Shanthini Davindren

Head of Primary School

Ms Shantini graduated with a Master’s degree in English Language Studies from Universiti Malaya and has seven years of experience teaching students of all ages. She has served as a Primary School Coordinator as well as Head of Structured Performing Arts. She believes creating and maintaining a positive learning environment is the best way to get the desired results. Ms Shantini also says she derives great satisfaction when her students profess to see the everyday applications of lessons taught. She believes teaching is her life’s calling and says she is learning from her students all the time as well.

Stephanie Cross Vijaya Kumar

Student Affairs Coordinator (Secondary)

Miss Stephanie has over a decade’s experience teaching on both national and private institutions. She is familiar with a number of syllabi including the national curriculum as well as the IGCSE. She believes that education can truly shape a person’s future and that students today have the power to shape the world. By embracing technology, Miss Stephanie hopes to be a guidig light for her students as they navigate the many challenges posed by the Internet age. Her lessons will involve plenty of project work as she believes hands on learning and team work will stimulate students’ inquisitiveness about the topic.

Subject: Bahasa Melayu

Ms Suhaila has over a decade’s experience teaching Bahasa Melayu in private schools and her enthusiasm remains undimmed as each new batch of students bring fresh personalities. She values student interaction and says the greatest reward for a teacher is to see students develop a thirst for knowledge. Her teaching methodology greatly involves use of computers in delivering Bahasa Melayu lessons to secondary students as she believes that today’s youth respond better to digital stimuli.

Junaid Asshomaddin Abdullah

Physical Education and CCA Coordinator

Mr Junaid has three years’ experience teaching physical education at a private school and has also acted as a sports coordinator. He has noted an upsurge in interest in outdoor activities as students yearn for physical activities post-lockdown. Mr Junaid will also act as the co-curricular activities coordinator and he intends to introduce students to a wide variety of sports. Mr Junaid derives great satisfaction when seeing his charges apply the correct sporting techniques when in the field of action and hopes to create a vibrant sporting culture at the school.

Ms Siti Hajar believes teachers can have an immensely positive impact on students simply by treating them as unique individuals. Her five years of teaching experience has been primarily in national language instruction, but she also has had stints as a history as well as religious studies teacher. By creating moments in which students and teachers can bond, Ms Siti Hajar hopes to create a happy learning environment where students can thrive and excel. Keeping lessons fresh, exciting, and varied is central to Miss Siti Hajar’s teaching methodology.

Chern Zhao Fei, an IT Teacher, boasts a solid educational background with double degrees, including a Bachelor of Computer Science (Software Engineering) with Honours and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Computer Science), bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom. Over the past 2 years, he has garnered experience in both government and private educational settings, honing his skills as an educator. Notable achievements include winning a medal at the CITREx programme and being recognised as a Microsoft Innovative Educator (MIE). Fatin Nor Shafika holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management and joined our team on 10/6/2024 to teach Bahasa Melayu to Secondary 2 and 3 students. With 3 years of teaching experience at a tuition centre, she brings a creative approach to make Bahasa Melayu engaging and accessible. Her dedication is evident in providing comprehensive notes to enhance student understanding.

Priscilla Goh Miin-Huey

Chinese Language Coordinator

Priscilla Goh Miin-Huey, a Malaysian educator, holds a Bachelor (HONS) of Broadcasting from University Tunku Abdul Rahman (2011) and completed her Program Diploma Pendidikan Lepasan Ijazah (DPLI) at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in 2023. Joining our team in 2024, she teaches Mandarin to Primary 1-6 and Secondary 1-3 students. With a combined 6 years of teaching experience in both homeschooling and private school environments, Priscilla brings a wealth of pedagogical insight and enthusiasm to her classes.

Priscilla is passionate about sharing Mandarin language and Chinese culture, viewing it as a gateway to broader cultural understanding and appreciation. She excels in building personal connections with her students, tailoring her approach to meet individual needs and fostering a supportive learning environment where students thrive.

Kim Geun-hwa

Subject: Korean Language

Meet Ms Kim Geun-hwa, our Korean Language Teacher at Peninsula Private School. Ms Kim’s background includes roles as a secondary art teacher in South Korea and a specialised social worker providing guidance to autistic and intellectually disabled children. Additionally, she has experience in operating the Elderly Dementia Correction Programme. Ms Kim finds joy in guiding students on their educational journeys, where her expertise lies in fostering efficient learning through a range of strategies and a positive mindset. Further, her educational approach revolves around instilling self-belief and resilience in children through positive experiences, ensuring they are well-prepared for adulthood.

Adrea Tan Huan Seen

School Counsellor

Ms Adrea Tan is a licensed and registered counsellor (KB: 09134, PA: 08744) who holds a Master in Counselling from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Bachelor of Psychology from HELP University. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2023 and brings with her over six years of counselling experience, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in areas such as anxiety, trauma, stress, and family issues.

Her professional focus lies in working closely with both primary and secondary students, providing a safe, empathetic space where they feel genuinely heard and supported. She collaborates with teachers and parents to nurture students’ emotional wellbeing and social development.

Ms Adrea practises a psychodynamic approach, often exploring how past experiences shape present behaviours, while remaining flexible to meet each student’s unique needs. She believes school counselling is not merely about resolving problems but helping students understand themselves more deeply. Her goal is to instil self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in every student she supports.

Primary Music Teacher

Ms Deborah Ngor holds a Bachelor of Classical Music (Hons) from UCSI University and joined Peninsula Private School in 2025. With over eight years of experience in music education, she has taught in private studios, music centres, and both private and international school settings. Her teaching journey has included piano, violin, and vocal instruction, each enriching her passion for nurturing young musicians.

Ms Deborah finds immense joy in teaching primary school music, inspired by the energy and curiosity that young learners bring to the classroom. She believes in creating a vibrant, playful, and supportive environment where students can explore music with confidence and joy. Her strength lies in her ability to connect with each child, guiding them in developing musical technique while encouraging creative expression.

CHIA CHUE HON

Accounting Teacher

Ms Chia Chue Hon holds a Bachelor of Technology with Education in Living Skills and completed his teacher training in 1980–1981. He joined Peninsula Private School in 2025, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in the education sector. He previously taught Mathematics to Form 3 students for 32 years and Integrated Living Skills for 16 years in government-aided schools, where he also served as Head of Department. Since 2013, he has taught Accounting to Form 4 and Form 5 students at a private tuition centre.

Ms Chia finds teaching most fulfilling when students begin to understand how to learn independently and when they come to appreciate the importance of accounting in the real world. Seeing their satisfaction and progress continues to inspire his commitment to education.
He believes that education begins with love—love for oneself, love for the subject, and, above all, love for the students.

SERENE LIM MEI SIM

Biology Teacher (Form 4)

Ms Serene Lim holds a Master of Science (Medical Biotechnology) and a Bachelor of Science (Microbiology), both from the University of Malaya. She is a certified Mandarin language educator, TBAN breastfeeding counsellor, and a member of the International Grafinity Association (IGA). She joined Peninsula Private School in 2025 with over 15 years of experience in science education and curriculum development.

She has taught IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Mandarin at various levels, and has also authored science workbooks for secondary learners. Her background includes running her own tuition and public speaking centres, serving as Chief Academic Officer at Parent First, and contributing as a parenting consultant at Neucleus DNA.

Ms Serene is passionate about transforming science into an engaging, relatable subject. She simplifies complex theories and encourages curiosity, discussion, and self-belief. SHERENNE ANN THOMAS GEORGE

English & Digital Literacy Teacher (Lower Primary)

Ms Sherenne Ann holds a Master of Educational Management (First Class Honours) from the University of Malaya and a Bachelor of Education (Hons) in Language and Literature (First Class Honours) from UNITAR International University. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2025, bringing a wealth of teaching experience across tertiary, secondary, and primary levels.

She currently teaches English to Years 2, 3, and 4, and Digital Literacy to Years 1 to 3. Her teaching background includes roles as a lecturer at Management and Science University and homeroom teacher at both Collinz International School and Beaconhouse Sri Lethia. Her ability to connect with students, build their confidence, and bring language to life through real-world applications makes her classroom both engaging and meaningful.

Ms Sherenne believes in a student-centred approach that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and holistic growth. Her goal is to inspire a lifelong love of learning in every student she teaches.

JESSVEENA KAUR

English Language Coordinator

Ms Jessveena Kaur holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Education in TESL from SEGi University Kota Damansara and joined Peninsula Private School in 2025. Since beginning her teaching career in 2017, she has taught English as both a First and Second Language to students from Year 6 to Year 9, with experience in preparing learners for the Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE exams.

Her strength lies in managing both physical and virtual classrooms with confidence, while fostering an inclusive, engaging environment. A passionate and results-driven educator, she believes in empowering students to think critically and communicate effectively.

MOHAMAD TAJUDDIN BIN SABRI

Science, Chemistry & Moral Education Teacher

Mr Mohamad Tajuddin holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology (Hons.) in Bioprocess Technology from Universiti Sains Malaysia and is currently completing his Master of Science in Environmental Engineering at Universiti Putra Malaysia. He joined Peninsula Private School in 2025 and brings with him three years of teaching and tutoring experience in Science, Chemistry, and Mathematics.

He teaches a variety of subjects across both primary and secondary levels. His academic background provides a solid foundation for simplifying complex concepts and delivering engaging, inquiry-based lessons. Ms Hasni binti Halim holds a Bachelor of Arts in Malay Language and Linguistics from Universiti Putra Malaysia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching from Open University Malaysia. She joined Peninsula Private School in February 2025, bringing with her over 16 years of teaching experience in both public and private schools.

Her teaching portfolio spans Bahasa Melayu, Pendidikan Islam, Sejarah, and Moral Education across primary and secondary levels. She has held key roles such as Head of Department, Junior School Coordinator, and Discipline Teacher.

Ms Hasni believes that effective teaching begins with understanding each student’s potential. Ms Nur Hidayah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Open University Malaysia, along with a Professional Diploma in Learning Disorder Management and Child Psychology, and a Diploma in Mass Communication. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2025, bringing over a decade of experience in early years education and language development.

She has taught English at learning centres, served as a curriculum specialist, and worked as both homeroom and subject teacher in preschool settings. Her strength lies in crafting joyful, immersive lessons that combine storytelling, games, and real-life experiences to build language confidence.

She has taught a range of subjects including Science, Biology, Chemistry, English, and the Arts across both primary and secondary levels. She is also a volunteer with the Paper Airplanes English Program, where she teaches students from diverse backgrounds through online platforms.

Siti Marissa Binti Hussin holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education and a Master’s in Education in Management and Leadership. With teaching experience since 2011, she brings over a decade of dedication and consistency to her role as a Bahasa Melayu and Pendidikan Islam educator.

Throughout her career, she has been committed to creating a supportive and well-structured learning environment where students feel guided and encouraged. She integrates strong subject knowledge with values-based education, helping students develop language proficiency alongside discipline, confidence, and positive character.

Known for her clear delivery and effective classroom management, Siti Marissa adapts her teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs. Mr Sothesan Pubalan holds a Bachelor of Computer Science in Data Science from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and a Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching from Open University Malaysia. He brings experience teaching in both private and international school environments, working with upper primary and secondary students.

He teaches Mathematics, Digital Literacy and Computing, as well as Sejarah, drawing on his strong academic foundation and formal teacher training to deliver structured and purposeful lessons. Siti Sarah binti Abdul Rahman

Bahasa Melayu Coordinator (Primary)

Siti Sarah Binti Abdul Rahman holds a Master of Science in Conservation Biology from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia. She teaches Biology for Secondary 4, Science for Secondary 1, 2 and 4, as well as Geography for Secondary 1 and 3, bringing both scientific depth and interdisciplinary perspective to her classroom.

She has three years of direct classroom experience teaching secondary level Science and Biology, complemented by over seven years of broader experience in curriculum development, STEM programme design, and teacher training. Her professional background includes working closely with educators, students, and stakeholders across schools and training institutions, strengthening her ability to connect learning with real-world applications.

Siti Sarah is passionate about making learning meaningful and accessible. She believes students should understand concepts beyond examinations, seeing how knowledge relates to contemporary issues. Sashita holds a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education and brings 15 years of experience in education. She teaches English, Science, and Mathematics at the primary level, creating a classroom environment that is both structured and nurturing.

Throughout her career, she has served as a classroom teacher and level coordinator, strengthening her expertise in curriculum planning and holistic child development. She designs creative and engaging lessons that cater to diverse learning styles, incorporating hands-on activities and real-world connections to ensure learning remains meaningful and accessible.

Ms Lim Ru-Yi holds a Bachelor of Mass Communications from Tunku Abdul Rahman College and a Diploma in Education from Sultan Idris Education University. She joined Peninsula Private School in February 2025, bringing with her experience from both private and international school settings.

She has taught Mandarin and other subjects across multiple year levels and is known for her engaging, student-centred approach. Her lessons integrate cultural elements and creative multimedia tools to help students connect with the language in meaningful ways.
Ms Lim enjoys creating a fun, inclusive classroom where students feel confident to explore and express themselves. Her experience in organising school events, stage performances, and project-based learning further enriches her teaching.
