Ms Ivy has over two decades of teaching experience and believes teachers are a child’s second biggest influence apart from their parents. Consequently, she is constantly motivated to broaden students’ perspectives through the prism of science. She is always striving to show real-life applications of the topics covered in class and believes logical thinking will help students master the subject. Ms Ivy is keen to stress the importance of having a positive attitude as teachers should lead by example.

Ms Shantini graduated with a Master’s degree in English Language Studies from Universiti Malaya and has seven years of experience teaching students of all ages. She has served as a Primary School Coordinator as well as Head of Structured Performing Arts. She believes creating and maintaining a positive learning environment is the best way to get the desired results. Ms Shantini also says she derives great satisfaction when her students profess to see the everyday applications of lessons taught. She believes teaching is her life’s calling and says she is learning from her students all the time as well.
School Counsellor
Ms Adrea Tan is a licensed and registered counsellor (KB: 09134, PA: 08744) who holds a Master in Counselling from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Bachelor of Psychology from HELP University. She joined Peninsula Private School in 2023 and brings with her over six years of counselling experience, supporting individuals from diverse backgrounds in areas such as anxiety, trauma, stress, and family issues.
Her professional focus lies in working closely with both primary and secondary students, providing a safe, empathetic space where they feel genuinely heard and supported. She collaborates with teachers and parents to nurture students’ emotional wellbeing and social development.
Ms Adrea practises a psychodynamic approach, often exploring how past experiences shape present behaviours, while remaining flexible to meet each student’s unique needs. She believes school counselling is not merely about resolving problems but helping students understand themselves more deeply. Her goal is to instil self-awareness, resilience, and confidence in every student she supports.

Mr Junaid has three years’ experience teaching physical education at a private school and has also acted as a sports coordinator. He has noted an upsurge in interest in outdoor activities as students yearn for physical activities post-lockdown. Mr Junaid will also act as the co-curricular activities coordinator and he intends to introduce students to a wide variety of sports. Mr Junaid derives great satisfaction when seeing his charges apply the correct sporting techniques when in the field of action and hopes to create a vibrant sporting culture at the school.

Ms Hafizah has five years of teaching experience, specifically in the field of Visual Arts. Her know-how extends to having served as Head of Humanities in a public school posting before joining Peninsula Private School. She is excited about sharing her passion for the arts with both primary and secondary students, believing that the subject is the best platform for students’ self-expression. Ms Siti Hajar believes teachers can have an immensely positive impact on students simply by treating them as unique individuals. Her five years of teaching experience has been primarily in national language instruction, but she also has had stints as a history as well as religious studies teacher. By creating moments in which students and teachers can bond, Ms Siti Hajar hopes to create a happy learning environment where students can thrive and excel. Meet Ms Kim Geun-hwa, our Korean Language Teacher at Peninsula Private School. Ms Kim’s background includes roles as a secondary art teacher in South Korea and a specialised social worker providing guidance to autistic and intellectually disabled children. Additionally, she has experience in operating the Elderly Dementia Correction Programme. Ms Kim finds joy in guiding students on their educational journeys, where her expertise lies in fostering efficient learning through a range of strategies and a positive mindset. Further, her educational approach revolves around instilling self-belief and resilience in children through positive experiences, ensuring they are well-prepared for adulthood.

Ms Suhaila has over a decade’s experience teaching Bahasa Melayu in private schools and her enthusiasm remains undimmed as each new batch of students bring fresh personalities. She values student interaction and says the greatest reward for a teacher is to see students develop a thirst for knowledge. With over nine years of teaching experience, she has served in both national and international schools. Her past roles include Head of Mathematics, Head of Discipline, and Head of Co-Curricular Activities. She has taught Mathematics and Science across primary and secondary levels, with strong expertise in preparing students for assessments such as Checkpoint.

Priscilla Goh Miin-Huey, a Malaysian educator, holds a Bachelor (HONS) of Broadcasting from University Tunku Abdul Rahman (2011) and completed her Program Diploma Pendidikan Lepasan Ijazah (DPLI) at Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris in 2023. Joining our team in 2024, she teaches Mandarin to Primary 1-6 and Secondary 1-3 students. With a combined 6 years of teaching experience in both homeschooling and private school environments, Priscilla brings a wealth of pedagogical insight and enthusiasm to her classes.
Priscilla is passionate about sharing Mandarin language and Chinese culture, viewing it as a gateway to broader cultural understanding and appreciation. Miss Stephanie has over a decade’s experience teaching on both national and private institutions. She is familiar with a number of syllabi including the national curriculum as well as the IGCSE. She believes that education can truly shape a person’s future and that students today have the power to shape the world. By embracing technology, Miss Stephanie hopes to be a guidig light for her students as they navigate the many challenges posed by the Internet age. Her lessons will involve plenty of project work as she believes hands on learning and team work will stimulate students’ inquisitiveness about the topic.
Accounting Teacher
Ms Chia Chue Hon holds a Bachelor of Technology with Education in Living Skills and completed his teacher training in 1980–1981. He joined Peninsula Private School in 2025, bringing with her over 30 years of experience in the education sector. He previously taught Mathematics to Form 3 students for 32 years and Integrated Living Skills for 16 years in government-aided schools, where he also served as Head of Department. Since 2013, he has taught Accounting to Form 4 and Form 5 students at a private tuition centre.
Ms Chia finds teaching most fulfilling when students begin to understand how to learn independently and when they come to appreciate the importance of accounting in the real world. Seeing their satisfaction and progress continues to inspire his commitment to education.

Ms Deborah Ngor holds a Bachelor of Classical Music (Hons) from UCSI University and joined Peninsula Private School in 2025. With over eight years of experience in music education, she has taught in private studios, music centres, and both private and international school settings. She joined Peninsula Private School in February 2025, bringing with her over 16 years of teaching experience in both public and private schools.
Her teaching portfolio spans Bahasa Melayu, Pendidikan Islam, Sejarah, and Moral Education across primary and secondary levels. She has held key roles such as Head of Department, Junior School Coordinator, and Discipline Teacher.

Ms Jessveena Kaur holds a First-Class Honours Bachelor of Education in TESL from SEGi University Kota Damansara and joined Peninsula Private School in 2025. Since beginning her teaching career in 2017, she has taught English as both a First and Second Language to students from Year 6 to Year 9, with experience in preparing learners for the Cambridge Checkpoint and IGCSE exams.
Her strength lies in managing both physical and virtual classrooms with confidence, while fostering an inclusive, engaging environment. A passionate and results-driven educator, she believes in empowering students to think critically and communicate effectively.

She joined Peninsula Private School in 2025 with over 15 years of experience in science education and curriculum development.
She has taught IGCSE Biology, Chemistry, and Mandarin at various levels, and has also authored science workbooks for secondary learners.
