Peninsula Private School, in collaboration with Vista Eye Specialists, held an enlightening Eye Specialist Program on June 27, 2024, aimed at raising awareness about eye health among students. The session covered critical topics, including the effects of excessive screen time on vision, real-life case studies, and success stories, and provided free eye checks for students.
Good eye health is essential for academic success, particularly in today’s digital age where screen time is a significant part of learning. The World Health Organisation reports that approximately 2.2 billion people globally suffer from vision impairment, with many cases preventable through early intervention.
By hosting this event, PPS is taking proactive steps to ensure the well-being of its students, aligning with SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being). Such initiatives underscore the school’s commitment to providing a safe and healthy learning environment that supports both the academic and personal development of its students.
