Ignites Innovation With Hands-On Stem Week Activities

Peninsula Private School recently held its annual STEM Week from July 15-18, 2024, where students were actively engaged in a variety of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics activities. These hands-on experiences, including the Whoosh Bottle experiment, specialized cells and digestive system exhibitions, a visit to the National Planetarium, and flight simulations at Subang Airport, provided students with a deep dive into the world of STEM.

The event was designed to foster innovation, critical thinking, and practical learning among students, preparing them for future careers in science and technology. STEM education is vital in today’s world, where the demand for skilled professionals in these fields continues to grow. According to UNESCO, by 2030, there will be a need for an additional 40 million STEM professionals worldwide.

PPS’s commitment to quality education and innovative learning environments is evident in events like STEM Week. By aligning these activities with SDG 4 (Quality Education) and SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), PPS is playing a crucial role in equipping students with the skills necessary to thrive in an increasingly technological world.

This event is organised in support of the following United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG):
